What is this?

I've been a UX designer since 2013. I've always attributed my interest in online information organization on my earliest experiences with blogging -- OpenDiary, in 1999, and a couple years later, LiveJournal.

I recently discovered, in my journals from 1999 (when I was 13 years old), plans for a homepage website I intended to build.

20 years later, I finally built the thing. Longest project timeline ever.

Of Note

The Pictures - Yes, this is me, around 1999.

The Websites - Many of the sites I referenced in my wireframe no longer exist. I linked to archived versions of these webpages when available; otherwise, to another source explaining their demise.

The Names - Yes, I went back and crossed out names after making this list. Being 13 is hard.

The Chat - I wanted to replicate the experience of passing notes with friends on my homepage. I'd seen homepages with embedded chat, but couldn't figure it out on my own, so instead I planned to publish login credentials to a shared email account. Among the many other technological advances to happen in the last 20 years, chat rooms got a whole lot easier (if also a lot more pointless).
